As a continuation of Middle East Talents Awards 2014, Mohammad Talebi was announced as the winner for 2D Character Video subcategory for his work “1765” http://metalentsawards.com/en/contest/view/960. Here are the details about our short interview with the winner:
1. What is your inspiration to make the winning piece?
“I like history. My idea is about oldest visual document of one ancient sport in Iran. I animate it. “1765″ is time journey of Carsten Niebuhr to Iran and make painting of Zurkhaneh in Shiraz-Iran.”
2. Share some experiences during the making of your artwork.
“The product of my idea was possible by 2D style animation but for composition I used 3D style. And I think 3D is dissolve in my 2D film.”
“Maybe it is attractive, my primary idea would be one documentary film, but you see one hybrid film now: one documentary – animation film.”
3. What is the best digital art that you have done apart from the winning artwork in META that you want to share to the digital artist community?
“I think some of my posters have a good idea.”
4. Please share short message to the young artists who want to pursue their dreams in digital arts.
“The world of digital arts is so widespread but it couldn’t make one artist. Moreover, I think artist should have good ideas, new things and beautiful expression.”
